Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree, according to which Sergey Naryshkin is appointed by the head of the foreign intelligence Service (SVR). Document published on the Kremlin website.
Earlier Thursday, Putin proposed Naryshkin to head the SVR. Naryshkin in conversation with Putin, broadcast on the air “Russia 24” told the President that he regarded his proposal “as a request of the head of state.”
Mikhail Fradkov, the head of the service, in the near future, nominated by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Russian Railways.
