The Minister of agriculture rejected the possibility of “collapse” at the lifting of the predamage

Russian agriculture should not be afraid of the abolition of the food embargo that was imposed against States, introduced sanctions against Russia, said the head of the Ministry Alexander Tkachev channel “Russia 24”.

“Nobody knows, abolish sanctions at the end of 17 years [2017 year. —]. We would like to it was years five. Even if they cancel, then nothing bad will happen,” — said the Minister.

According to him, agriculture has become competitive. “First, we are already competitive, the level of state support is significant: the level of profitability of agricultural production on average 20 percent with state support and 10% — no,” — said Tkachev.

He also drew attention to the fact that “the dollar is not 30, but 60”. “The end result, if you compare the price using the dollar, it becomes more”, — stressed the head of the Ministry, adding that this “has happened, most importantly the domestic consumer was happy to find on the shelf of Russian goods”.

If predamage will be cancelled in the Russian market “will not collapse” — in many industries there is no need of import, the Minister said. “The pork we no longer need any import. We have completely closed the gap. Poultry meat including. Sugar, buckwheat, potatoes, vegetable oil we provided,” — concluded Tkachev.

Russia imposed bradenburg in response to Western sanctions, which in turn was introduced in connection with the annexation of Crimea and the situation in the Donbass. A presidential decree restricting the importation of certain products from USA, EU, Canada, Australia and Norway, was signed in August 2014. Later it was extended to Albania, Montenegro, Iceland and Liechtenstein, and at the end of last year — Ukraine.

Under the ban came deliveries of beef, pork, poultry, fish, cheese, milk, fruits, vegetables and some other products categories.
