Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov called the clumsy statement by U.S. state Department spokesman John Kirby about the threat of terrorist attacks in Russia and the loss of Moscow because of the situation in Syria.
“As regards the statements of the representative of the state Department, it is rather clumsy”, — quoted Peskov RIA Novosti.
According to the representative of the Kremlin, Moscow says “quite disruptive” rhetoric coming from Washington in recent days and recalled that Russia remains interested in cooperation with the U.S. fight against terrorists in Syria.
Earlier official representative of Russian foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova called Kirby’s statement about the threat of Russian attack command, rather than a review of a diplomat.
Kirby’s statement came on the eve during a briefing. Answering the question about possible consequences for Russia in case of failure of the ceasefire agreement in Syria, the US state Department admitted that the extremists will be expanding and will probably go on the attack in the Russian cities.
