Churkin called “insensitive” statements about U.S. failures in Syria

Permanent representative of Russia to the UN Vitaly Churkin called “insensitive” statement by the press Secretary the White house Josh Ernest about the fact that Russia has not made progress in Syria and forced to take the credit, reports TASS.

“Gently (speaking) as an indiscretion. Gently,” said Churkin, answering a question of journalists on how it relates to the statements of Ernest.

Before the press Secretary of the White house said that during a military operation in Syria, Russia has achieved much progress” in the fight against the banned terrorist group “Islamic state”.

“They [the Russians] say that their aim in Syria is to fight extremism, but they did not reach any major goals in the fight against ISIS more than seven months and came to the fact that they are forced to ascribe to themselves the merits for the successful operation of the USA”, — quotes TASS of the word Ernest. Speaking of which, the White house spokesman was referring to the destruction of one of leaders of terrorists of Abu Muhammad al-Adnani, says TASS.

On the death of press Secretary of ISIL, Abu Muhammad al-Adnani became known on August 30.
