Sergei Ivanov called the cold war a fact of life

In an interview with the Financial Times, Ivanov said that today comes to talking about nuclear weapons and the hypothetical possibility of a Third world war. “I think everybody’s smart enough not to go to a hot war”. he said. “But when we talk about the cold war, the information war and propaganda war, it can be called a fact of life. We all see it every day,” – said the politician.

Ivanov also said that Russia hopes to turn the page in relations with the United States. “We are always ready for real politics,” – said the former head of the presidential Administration. According to him, the Russian leadership has insulted the anti-Russian rhetoric during the election campaign in the United States. However, as Ivanov said, Moscow hopes that after the election, the top will take a pragmatic approach.
