Of oil and gas reserves in Russia will suffice for the next 50 years, said the head of Sberbank German Gref at the conference “Forward to the future: the role and place of Russia”.
“We have oil all right in the country. Oil and gas will be enough for the next 50 years,” he said (quoted by “RIA Novosti”).
In early October, Gref warned the authorities that they need to prepare for the end of “the century of oil and gas.” He said that out of manresources the state of the economy is very painful, but it can boost economic growth and make it more effective. “In my opinion, it’s about 2028-2032 years, when, in my opinion — not a fact I’m right — all the feelings, all the trends that we see today will not be a repeat of this supershareware cycle,” — said the head of Sberbank.
Later, Deputy Minister of energy Kirill Molodtsov, commenting on the words of Gref, said that Russia has enough reserves of hydrocarbons at least 40-50 years. About the same number were called and the Minister of natural resources Sergey Donskoy. In an interview he gave in the spring, the don said that at the current production volumes of proved oil reserves will be enough for Russia until 2044. He stressed that the authorities are ready to support companies that conduct exploration.
