Gref has told about a state of shock after the arrest of the speaker


The Chairman of the Board of Sberbank German Gref said that the situation with the arrest of the former head of the Ministry of economic development Alexei Ulyukayev has led to a state close to shock.

“From what we read in the media, no conclusions can be done. I think that all the as, to put it mildly… let’s Say, when there is no information, people are able to, yesterday anyway, today a little better… Yesterday, of course, everyone was in a state close to shock,” he said (quoted by “Interfax”).

“So that you can comment? On an empty place guess build? I think to make a comment, need information. There is no information. Therefore, in such situations, all the comments seem to put it mildly, not very,” said the head of “Sberbank” (quoted by “RIA Novosti”).

About the arrest of the speaker became known on the night of November 15. According to investigators Ulyukayev extorted from Rosneft $2 million for a positive conclusion in respect of the acquisition of government’s stake in Bashneft. TFR claims that the speaker was caught red-handed when receiving money. Day Basmanny court of Moscow has sent the ex-Minister under house arrest.

Itself the speaker does not recognize his guilt. According to his lawyer Timothy Gridneva, a former Minister perceives the incident to the office of “Rosneft” as a provocation against the state official. The defense intends to appeal the decision on house arrest.
