Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev signed a government decree that modifies the acts regulating the control over the payment system “Platon”. About it reports the Ministry of transport. The text of the decree published on the portal of legal information.
“Now, if the carrier has not paid a fine for evasion from payment system “Platon”, he will not be able to cross the state border to eliminate the violations. In the case that the fact of evasion from payment of fixed penalty after departure, the carrier will not be able to enter the territory of Russia without paying a penalty,” – says the press service of the Ministry of transport.
The Ministry also said that the government decision was developed in accordance with the recommendations of the Working group on the monitoring of the operation of the system “Platon” “with the aim of creating equal conditions for Russian and foreign carriers and increased control over payment”.
The “Plato” is valid in Russia from November 2015. Since then, the trucks weighing more than 12 tons are obliged to pay for every kilometer traveled on the Federal highway. For the first time after the run was established a preferential rate of 1.53 RUB, although initially the rate was planned at the level of 3.73 rubles per 1 km of Federal highways.
In early November, the transport Ministry has proposed to raise the tariff system “Platon” from February 2017 from the current of 1.53 to 2.61 RUB RUB, from June — to 3.06 RUB.
