The US President-elect Donald trump said that “at least for some period of time” will maintain sanctions against Russia. He stated this in an interview with the Wall Street Journal.
“If you get along, and Russia really helps us, why would anyone sanction, if together they do really good things,” said trump.
He also suggested that he might cancel the sanctions imposed by the Obama administration in late December for alleged Russian cyber attacks if the country will be useful in the fight against terrorism and the achievement of other important goals, the newspaper said. According to trump, he is ready to meet Vladimir Putin after a while after you take office of the President.
“I understand that they wanted to meet. And I am absolutely not against”, – quotes the edition of his words.
