Mutko has found many inaccuracies in the report about doping in Russian sports

In the report of the Commission of the world anti-doping Agency (WADA) under the leadership of Richard McLaren’s many inaccuracies and errors, said Vice Prime Minister of Russian sport Vitaliy Mutko.

“The report is really a lot of errors, many inaccuracies, it relies only on the testimony of one accuser. His goal is to cast a shadow on the whole Russian sport. We do not claim that the Moscow anti-doping laboratory, or the Russian anti-doping Agency worked well. But you need to be objective,” — quoted Mutko TASS.

After the publication of the next part of the report of McLaren in December 2016, the state Duma Committee on physical culture, sport, tourism and youth Affairs 13 January 2017 has created an expert Commission to analyze the report on the use of doping Russian athletes. As stated by the head of the Committee Mikhail Degtyarev, the task of the Commission is to study the conclusions of the report prepared by the independent Commission of McLaren.

The Chairman of the Committee for physical culture, said that “international criminal group” that “worked in the interests of aliens”, made of “pure Russian athletes dirty”. According to Degtyareva, the report of the McLaren became the basis for the ongoing “attacks on the Russian sports”.

Earlier, on 10 January, the National anti-doping organization (NADO) 19 countries, including the USA, Canada and Germany, called for the suspension of Russia from international competitions because of doping scandals. NADO also urged to deprive Russia of all international tournaments. Vice Prime Minister Vitaly Mutko, in turn, declared the Russian sports “one of the cleanest in the world” and stressed that the statements about the state program of support of doping are false.
