Negotiations to resolve the Syrian crisis in Astana are scheduled for Monday, January 23, will be held behind closed doors at the hotel Rixos President Astana. This is stated in the message of the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan for the media.
The Ministry clarified that the meeting starts on Monday at 13.00 (10.00 GMT) and is expected to be completed at the same time on Tuesday, January 24.
The negotiations must take part the delegations of Russia, Turkey, Iran, Syria and the United States, the special envoy of the UN Secretary General on Syria Stefan de Mistura, as well as representatives of the Syrian opposition. As specifies the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, all parties have already confirmed their participation in the meeting.
