The case of ex-Senator Fetisov on the embezzlement of 2 billion roubles has directed to court

A criminal case against the former member of the Federation Council from the Voronezh region and co-owner of Bank “My Bank” Gleb Fetisov and former Chairman of the Board of the credit institution Kira Andrianova directed to Presnensky court of Moscow for consideration in essence, informs the Prosecutor General’s office.

Fetisov is accused of organizing the theft of property of “My Bank”, committed by using his official position in especially large size (part 3 of article 33, part 4 of article 160 of the criminal code).

“According to preliminary investigation, Andrianova together with Fetisov in 2012-2013 made waste belonging to credit institutions securities and cash in the total amount of 1.96 billion rubles”, — stated in the message of the Prosecutor General.

The Ministry stressed that the actions of the accused led to the fact that the Bank was unable to meet the demands of all creditors and was declared bankrupt.

In February 2014 Fetisov was detained at Domodedovo airport, Investigative Committee announced the criminal case on the fact of conclusion and theft of assets of “My Bank” (lost his license in January, 2014), resulting in obligations to make payments to depositors in excess of 6 billion rubles were assigned to Agency on insurance of contributions (ASV).

In early February 2015 it became known that who is in jail Gleb Fetisov paid off all the debts to depositors and creditors “My Bank” in two steps he transferred to the Agency on insurance of contributions more than 13 billion rubles.

In August 2015 the banker was placed under house arrest and then freed. At the end of August 2015, the Prosecutor General’s office not approved by the inquiry Committee of the indictment and returned the materials by the investigators to eliminate the violations.

In December 2015 Fetisov resigned as co-Chairman of party “Green Alliance and the social Democrats” and said his departure from politics.

“The time has come to reconsider priorities. I want more time and attention to their health and family. Politics isn’t for me anymore. After I recuperate, get back to science and business,” explained Fetisov its decision.
