The liberation of the Syrian city of al-Bab from the militants of the banned terrorist organization “Islamic state” (ISIS) is just a matter of time. This was stated by President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan, reports Anadolu.
“Once strategically important complex of the city hospital has been cleared of the ISIL terrorists, liberation of the city — it’s just a matter of time. The terrorists leave the city,” — said the Turkish leader.
Currently, al-Bab is completely blocked, Turkish troops occupied the center of the city, there are fights. When the Turkish military established control over al-Bab, “actualizarea the question of release of Munich and Raqqa,” said Erdogan. He noted that this issue is being discussed with the new administration in Washington.
“Islamic state” holds al-Bab in 2013. The city is the largest stronghold of terrorists in the North-East of Aleppo.
Raqqah also was captured by ISIS in 2013. The terrorists declared the city its capital.
