President Vladimir Putin appointed head of the Federal bailiff service (FSSP) Arthur Parfenchikov acting head of Karelia. This was reported on the Kremlin website.
Earlier on February 15 head of Karelia Alexander Khudilainen announced early resignation. The President accepted his resignation.
Previously called Parfenchikov the most probable candidate on a post of the head of Karelia.
