The Russian defense Ministry has expressed bewilderment in connection with the criticism of “some German politicians” to build in the Park “Patriot” model of the Reichstag. This was stated by the official representative of the Ministry of defense of Russia major-General Igor Konashenkov.
According to him, the creation of a “dilapidated fierce fighting in may 1945, the layout of the Reichstag” will become a significant element of the Park, and will also symbolize “the victory over Nazism”. As noted, the official representative of the military Department, the layout of the Reichstag, together with other objects of the Park “will serve as the Patriotic education of young citizens and guests of Russia from other countries.”
“Attacks on this occasion, some German politicians are not only extremely confused, but forced to think about what beliefs they actually hold about the “builders” of the Third Reich in the years 1933-1945″ — Konashenkov said (quoted by TASS).
Konashenkov called the political leaders of Germany, criticized the construction of the layout of the Reichstag, noting that we are talking about a number of German politicians and members of the Bundestag.
Earlier former German Minister of defense Josef Jung in an interview with Bild said he believes the construction of the layout of the Reichstag “provocation.”
“Instead of constant provocations, we need the understanding and cooperation through the state border. Peace requires economic, social and political security instead of replaying the battles of the past,” said Jung.
