Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov commented on the statements of Kiev about the “Russian trace” in the murder of former state Duma Deputy, Denis Boronenkov.

“We believe that any allegations that have heard about the notorious Russian trace, are absurd”, — quoted Peskov, “RIA Novosti”.

The press Secretary added that the murder Boronenkov said that the Ukrainian side failed to ensure his safety. According to Peskov, Moscow hopes that all involved in the crime will be revealed. Peskov added that “murder is always a tragedy”. He noted that the murder Boronenkov was reported to the President of Russia.

Boronenkov shot in the afternoon of 23 March in the center of Kiev. The security guard of former MP managed to wound the killer. The Ukrainian authorities have already announced the first version of the story. Russian trace in the murder of ex-Deputy of the state Duma Boronenkov saw and Deputy head of the National police of Ukraine, the head of the Main investigative Department Oleksandr Vakulenko. He called the key version of the murder Boronenkov “the actions of the Russian Federation”.

The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, commenting on the incident, said that we are talking about the “act of state terrorism” on the part of Russia. According to Poroshenko, Boronenkov was “one of the main witnesses of Russian aggression against Ukraine” and one of those who knew about the role of Yanukovych in the entry to Ukraine of Russian troops.
