Prior to his election in 2000, Putin has worked as acting President and Prime Minister. About the first experience as Prime Minister Putin later recalled: “I Thought, well, work for a year, and that is good”.
After that, he has twice been elected President (2004 and 2012) and once was appointed Prime Minister (2008). The next presidential election in Russia will be held in March 2018. Putin has not yet confirmed nor denied his possible participation in new elections.
