Lugansk disconnected from electricity


The power supply is disabled on all territory of Lugansk. About it reports “Interfax” with reference to his correspondent.

According to local Agency “Luganskinform” (PERSONS), the cause of the blackout was the termination of electricity supply Central utility services in Kyiv. Currently emergency services are working to restore electrical supply.

If it is not specified whether electricity throughout the self-proclaimed Luhansk national Republic (LNR) or just in the Lugansk.

After a half an hour after disconnecting the electricity supply was restored in most parts of the city, reported INDIVIDUALS. The publication refers to regional authorities, who noted that cities and regions of the LC, the electricity supply was not interrupted, however partially and temporarily de-energized settlements of Alchevsk and Perevalsk.

Later, the national energy company on his page in Facebook announced the termination on 25 April the power supply in the Lugansk region. The reason, according to the press service of the company, was the “failure to pay for a long time” for the delivered and consumed energy in the LC.

Chapter Ukrenergo Vsevolod Kovalchuk also announced the termination of power supply company “Ukrenergo”, he wrote about this on his page in Facebook.

The head of the Ministry LNR Sergei Ivanushkin on the eve, April 24, assured that the country is ready for emergencies that may follow after termination of the electricity supply. He noted that the city authorities rebuilt the power system and the population “itself is not much sense”.

About the intention to disable the LC on electricity from April 25 it became known the day, the morning of April 24. According to Director General of the Luhansk energy Association Vladimir Gritsai, Kiev has not paid for delivered on the territory controlled by LNR electricity. He said that the regulations of the government of Ukraine prescribes in this case to stop the supply of electricity.

Acting Minister of fuel, energy and coal industry of self-proclaimed LNR Paul Malgin emphasized that, officially, the Ukrainian side has not sent out any notification about the termination of electricity supply.
