Moscow. April 25. Corporation Great Wall Motor Corporation Ltd plans to start manufacturing cars at the plant in Tula region in 2019, the press service of the government of Tula region with reference to the head of the region Alexey Dyumin.
“The talks with our Chinese partners understood the priorities of both sides. Region pledges to accelerate construction of transportation infrastructure to the special economic zone and industrial Park (“Hub”). For its part, the company has undertaken in 2019, the first issue of the cars they plan to produce in our region”, – was told by Dyumin during the meeting with members of the regional government.
In addition, according to the Governor, negotiations were held on possible cooperation of the company Great Wall with the enterprises of the Tula region.
Earlier it was reported that the commissioning of the first phase of the plant of Great Wall Motors in the industrial Park “Uzlovaya” in the Tula region will take place in 2018. To implement the project is expected in two stages. With the commissioning of the first phase of the enterprise, its capacity will be 80 thousand cars per year. After completion of the second phase (previously expected in 2020), the production capacity will reach 150 thousand cars a year. In particular, the plant in Uzlovaya Tula region is planned to start serial production of a new crossover model Haval H6.
The agreement to build the plant between Great Wall Motors and the government of Tula region was signed in may 2014. Under construction company, LLC “Haval Motor manufacturing Rus” acquired 216 hectares in the industrial Park “Uzlovaya”. The volume of investments is $500 million, the company will work to 2,5 thousand people.
