The leadership of “Rosatom” has offered to split the company into so-called profit centres, which will work with external customers, and cost centers that work with contractors. The reform plan at the conference top managers of “Rosatom” suggested the CEO of the company Alexey Likhachev, reports “Kommersant” with reference to sources.

According to the interlocutor of the newspaper, key performance indicators (KPIs) of the management of Rosatom tied to profit, regardless of who the counterparty is external or internal customer. Alexey Likhachev in February in an interview with the newspaper “Rosatom Country” said that in some cases the holdings of the state Corporation to 90% of the time is spent on negotiations with other organizations within the “Rosatom” because they are “fighting for their profits, not sparing the stomach”, the newspaper said.

The newspaper’s source said that it is raising the profile of the criterion of cost to cost centers, working with partners in the contour of the Corporation. The struggle for the maximization of profit among the providers in the Corporation increases the price of the final product, according to the material of the newspaper.

According to “Kommersant”, the head unit of Rosatom supported the principle of reform. We are talking about the first Deputy Director General.

At the same time, reform may lead to the struggle of the holdings for the position of profit centres. “Nobody wants to be a cost center,” says one of the interlocutors of the newspaper industry.
