The President of Russia Vladimir Putin has signed the decree about the dismissal of the
the state Secretary — Deputy Minister of civil defense, emergencies and elimination of consequences of natural disasters Vladimir Artamonov. The document published on the official portal of legal information.
Also with his ousted Deputy head of the National center for crisis management emergency response (EMERCOM), the Ministry of emergency situations major-General Sergey Vorontsov.
“Dismissed Artamonov Vladimir Sergeyevich, state Secretary- Deputy Minister of RF for civil defense, emergencies and elimination of consequences of natural disasters; major-General Vorontsov, Sergei Vladimirovich, Deputy head of the National center for crisis management emergency response of the Ministry of the Russian Federation for civil defense, emergencies and elimination of consequences of natural disasters”, — the document says.
Artamonov held the position of Deputy head of the Ministry of emergency situations in 2012. Prior to that, he was head of the St. Petersburg University of State fire service of EMERCOM of Russia.
Vorontsov worked as the Deputy head of EMERCOM in 2014. Previously held the post of first Deputy head of the main Department of EMERCOM in Nizhny Novgorod region.
By his decree Putin has released from posts a number of generals in the interior Ministry, the Investigative Committee and the Federal service of execution of punishments (FSIN).
