Moscow. June 6. INTERFAX.RU – the Share of domestic software, which buy authorities over the past two years increased two or more times depending on the application, said Minister of communications and mass communications of the Russian Federation Nikolay Nikiforov.
“In all key areas of software products in Russia there are appropriate analogues that can be used instead of foreign. And it is actively happening. If 2 years ago the share of domestic software, which bought authorities, amounted to about 10-20%, now it is 40-50% and in some areas up to 60%. That is, the dynamics are obvious. And domestic developers and has received additional government contracts, which is estimated in billions of rubles,” – said Nikiforov to journalists at the IX International IT-forum in Khanty-Mansiysk
Thus, according to him, the need to create a software that will be in demand not only in Russia but also in other countries. “We cannot limit ourselves to the Russian market is only a drop in the ocean – 2% of the global market. So you need to make products not only for import substitution but also for export,” the Minister said.
In his view, in software development it is necessary to cooperate with the BRICS countries, which account for 50% of the consumer market of IT-technologies.
“To make a modern mobile operating system as difficult and tradesecret, how to make a modern long-haul aircraft. This is what we speak with our colleagues from the BRICS, who represent nearly half of global market consumption of IT systems. And only together we can do good,” said the Minister.
