Renault in the first half increased car sales to a record 1.88 million

Moscow. July 17. INTERFAX.RU French automotive group Renault increased sales in the first half of 2017 10.4%, to 1.88 million cars, which is a record for January-June. In a press release, the company noted that the global market for this period increased by 2.6%. As a consequence, the share of Renault in the global market increased by 0.3 percentage points compared with the year 2016, to 4.1%.

In particular, sales of the Renault brand increased by 9.7%, to 1.34 million vehicles, the Dacia – by 11.8% to 332,8 thousand cars Lada – by 12.2%, to 150,3 thousand vehicles, Renault Samsung Motors – 12.5% to 52.8 thousand machines. The company’s largest market remained France (368 thousand sold cars), second place – Russia (201 thousand), Italy – third (122,3 thousand).

In Europe (excluding France) sales grew in January-June is 7.8%, in France by 1.8%. In Eurasia, recorded growth of 8.6% in the Americas by 14.6% in the Asia-Pacific region is 50.5%. In the region, uniting Africa, the middle East and India, sales were up 19.3%. According to the forecasts of the Renault in 2017 sales of cars in the world as a whole will grow by 1.5-2.5%, including in Europe – 2%. In Russia, Brazil and China is expected to increase by 5%, in India – 8%.

Renault shares rise in price by 1.9% during trading on Monday, the capitalization of the company is 24.67 billion euros.
