Trends in domestic alcohol sector will be discussed at the forum in Moscow


MOSCOW, September 7. /TASS/. The Union of Russian brewers, together with TASS will hold a September 22 forum “the Alcoholic market: from bans to development”, which will discuss development trends in the alcohol sector in Russia.

In particular, the forum participants will address issues of regulation of the alcoholic beverages market, its impact on the economy, the problems of the illegal market (high intake of low-quality alcohol and the growing scale of the black market) and the development of consumer culture.

To participate in the forum invited the head of the FAS Igor Artemyev, Minister of industry and trade of Russia Denis Manturov, the Minister of economic development of the Russian Federation Maxim Oreshkin, head of the Union of Russian brewers Andrew Sponge, Chairman of the Duma Committee on economic policy, industry, innovative development and entrepreneurship Sergei Zhigarev. The forum will also be attended by the representatives of producers of alcoholic beverages.

“Forum “the Alcoholic market: from bans to development” is important for the whole alcohol industry time: the time when it is possible and necessary to bring the first results of realization of the state policy in relation to alcohol producers, calculated until 2020,” – said in an interview with TASS the Chairman of the Union of Russian brewers Andrew Sponge.

According to him, today the industry has a real chance, in collaboration with the government to develop effective legislation that will allow all market participants to reach a completely different level of work.

“We are confident that the forum will set high level of discussion and will propose concrete steps to improve the situation on the market. We hope that the results of the forum will be another pillar in the Foundation of a new alcoholic market of Russia”, – said the Sponge.
