This was reported on Saturday to journalists by the Chairman of the Duma Committee on international Affairs Leonid Slutsky, who is entrusted with the preparation of this visit.
“The visit of the parliamentary delegation of the State Duma in Syria could take place in the foreseeable future, do not rule out that, perhaps, before the end of the year,” he said.
Slutsky recalled that “on Friday on the sidelines of the Assembly of the inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) held a meeting of deputies with the new Chairman of the National Council (Parliament) of Syria Hammuda the Sabag, who was invited to visit the Syrian Arab Republic”. “The speaker of the state Duma Vyacheslav Volodin from the face of the lower chamber of Parliament accepted the invitation,” he added.
