Zakharov: security officials in Ukraine introduced a regime of total censorship


MOSCOW, 9 November. /TASS/. The law of Ukraine regulating the performance of the Russian artists in this country only with the consent of the SBU, indicates the introduction of a regime of total censorship. This was stated on Thursday by the official representative of Russian foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova.

“Ukraine is gaining momentum, another round of anti-Russian hysteria. The impression that anyone involved in the Ukrainian power structures, considers it his duty to celebrate in this direction, – said Zakharov. – The tone is set by the President Petro Poroshenko. On the day he signed the law on touring activities in Ukraine, according to which Russian cultural figures will be demonstrating the art in this country only with the goodwill of the “connoisseurs” SBU”.

“So he Ukraine introduced a regime of total censorship by the Ukrainian security forces, most of those “blue uniforms”, which is so pathetic Poroshenko said goodbye, rushing to the visa-free Europe, – said the diplomat. – I would in his place again read a poem (Lermontov’s “farewell, unwashed Russia” – approx.TASS)”.

The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko on 7 November, the law under which Russian artists will be performing on the territory of the country only with the permission of the SBU. Now the organizers of the tour have 30 days before the event to request permission from the security services. Upon failure to notify the security service, or providing incomplete information to the organizers face a fine of 50 to 100 minimal wages ($6,2 – 14.4 thousand). According to the law of special services shall, within 10 days to consider the request and decide whether the artist to perform in Ukraine.
