The American side warned that the implementation of such threats will lead to further serious degradation in our relationship, which is fraught with grave consequences for global stability”, – stressed in the Ministry.
In addition, the Ambassador stated that “if you continue hostile actions against the Russian diplomatic and consular offices in the United States, additional measures will be taken against personnel and facilities of the Embassy and consulates General of the USA in Russia”. “The US government encouraging and promoting a campaign of slander against our country, invited to repent and stop the reckless act of destroying the bilateral relations,” – said the Russian foreign Ministry.
Deputy Minister of foreign Affairs of Russia Sergey Ryabkov gave the Huntsman a note of protest in connection with the expulsion of 60 Russian diplomats from the United States and the closure of the Consulate General of Russia in Seattle.
