MOSCOW, may 17./TASS/. Deputies of the state Duma propose to extend the list of companies that are obliged to provide individuals with the opportunity of payment for goods and services by credit card, told journalists the head of the Duma Committee on financial markets Anatoly Aksakov.
Now under the law to accept the card “the World” needs all the outlets with a turnover of 40 million rubles a year. From next year the threshold will gradually decrease, and by 2020, the deputies propose to oblige to accept cards all working in Russia payment systems company with an annual turnover of 10 million rubles.
If now the turnover requirement apply only to companies in the retail offline trade, in the future they will extend to online shopping, said Aksakov.
“We will introduce a bill relating to online payments because we forgot about them. Turnover will also prescribe similar with retail turnover. I think that will gradually introduce, from 1 January 2019 will be 20 million rubles, and from 1 January 2020 will be 10 million rubles,” – said Aksakov.
