The state Duma voted for the appointment of Kudrin to head the audit chamber


MOSCOW, may 22. /TASS/. The state Duma voted for the resolution on the appointment of Alexei Kudrin to the position of Chairman of the accounts chamber (SP) of Russia.

“To appoint Kudrin to the post of Chairman of the accounts chamber of the Russian Federation, to transmit this decision to the President of the Russian Federation, audit chamber of the Russian Federation”, – stated in the text of the resolution.

According to the law on SP, the nominations for appointment to the post of its Chairman shall be submitted to the President by the Duma Council on the proposals of the factions, and the head of state must be submitted at least three candidates. The Council of the Duma sent the President four candidates from each party. The Presidium of the faction “United Russia” recommended to deputies-to United Russia to nominate Kudrin.

Earlier Kudrin’s candidacy for appointment to the post of head of SP introduced to the state Duma, Russian President Vladimir Putin. Before this, the deputies of the state Duma at plenary session on may 17 unanimously adopted a resolution on early release of Tatyana Golikova from the post of Chairman of the accounting chamber.

“Alexei Leonidovich spoke with all factions, we can say, with all State Duma deputies who were present at these events (meetings with the factions – approx. TASS), he is a man known for a long time worked in the public authorities, at the level of subject of the Russian Federation and at the Federal level, and was the first Deputy Minister of Finance and Minister of Finance, and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, he has rich professional experience and other parameters provided by Federal law”, – said the Plenipotentiary representative of RF President in the state Duma Harry Minkh, presenting Kudrin.
