MOSCOW, 1 July. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin during a telephone conversation with king of Spain Philip VI, who was present at the football match between Russian and Spanish teams, discussed the development of relations between the two countries. This was announced Sunday in a press-service of the head of the Russian state.
“The king of Spain congratulated Vladimir Putin on victory of the Russian team. We held a short exchange of views on issues of further development of bilateral relations”, – stated in the message.
Earlier, Putin’s press Secretary Dmitry Peskov said that the President of the Russian Federation after the match called king of Spain, and during the conversation, “paid tribute to the skill and upper class of the Spanish team.”
On Sunday Russian national team in a penalty shootout defeated the team of Spain with the score 4:3. The main and extra time ended with the score 1:1.
